Different types of milk

The company collects and processes 2.2 billion litres of milk from several regions, each one with its own specific characteristics.

Brittany:


• Leading milk producing region with 1.7 billion litres.
• France's most competitive dairy region for standard milk and the best equipped to anticipate the CAP* reform.
• Set-up of specific collection areas to meet various production requirements, such as Label Rouge Raclette, milks rich in unsaturated fatty acid for Omega 3 Emmental, and organic milk.

Eastern France :


This region features smaller collection areas than in Brittany but these areas provide a rich assortment of specific milks (300 million litres).

Here we process four types of milk:
• Standard milk in Haute Marne, Aube and Haute Saône.
• Hay milk, mainly in Haute Marne and Haute-Saône, for the production of Emmental Grand Cru Label Rouge.
• Milk destined for the production of AOC*** cheese: Comté, Morbier, Beaufort, Gruyère.
• Organic milk.

Bavaria:


We collect and process 200 million litres in the Allgaü region to produce Emmental. This region enjoys PDO**** status for its Allgaü Emmental.
